I’m +1 on this.

I believe that it represents a useful cleanup of the Foundation type naming, and a maturation of the Swift/Foundation libraries and the integration thereof. Yes, changes can be expected in the future, but if we live in perpetual fear of what the future might bring then we will advance only slowly toward it. The proposal outlines careful thought into how future additional needed transitions can be accomplished.
