You can evaluate the proposal however you wish, but I don’t think it makes sense to vote against a proposal because it is missing some additional feature *unless* the lack of that additional feature makes the proposal effectively useless. I don’t think that’s the case here: changing ‘typealias’ to ‘associatedtype’ can easily be viewed as an improvement on its own, which then opens the door to additional features (real typealiases in protocols or protocol extensions).
