That’s why its unsure if the code will be optimized to reduce extra copies or not.</p>
<p>About read-only: This is not true in my case, because the setter must exist, otherwise the view won’t be able to mutate the parents storage. And you’ll get an error like <code>Cannot assign through subscript: 'VIEW_PROPERTY_NAME_HERE' is a get-only property</code></p>
<p>With the pitched and simple addition, I don’t have to worry about the issues I just mentioned.</p>
<p>(It’s clearly something for Stage 2, but we can discuss it now.)</p>
