If memory serves, the last issues standing in the way for a windows port were just recently overcome (same business of how to store the runtime data into the structure of a dll), and this would send them back a few steps back.</div><div id="AppleMailSignature">Considering this is v3.0, the last of the breakers, and this is the very end of the cycle, with features still not designed as well as designs without coders, I think that a deep change like this one is rather unlikely for 3, and unless there is a clever way to make it additive in 4, then ever.
