+1. Being able to convert anything to a String using an initializer that
doesn't state its purpose is an easy way for users to get behavior they
don't want or expect. Parameterless initializers should be for "clean" and
simple conversions, which this is not.

Yes. It's easy for users to mess up using the current syntax, and the
solution is trivial.
