+1 This change feels like a natural next step of SE-0001, and SE-0005 feels incomplete without it.

Yes. Without it the changes of SE-0005 would in a sense put us back to where we were before SE-0001

Yes (see my evaluation of this proposal above)

No. I can’t think of any.
