Thanks for all the answers :) These questions are dear to my heart because I plan on using corelibs-foundation on Darwin as soon as possible to share code between our iOS apps and web services.

I have a hard time seeing how they can evolve together seeing as we are already making improvements to corelibs-foundation with the value-type and NS-dropping proposals which will not reflect back to Darwin's system framework.
